finishes available |
|
Standard Hard Gold - 23ct hard gold for decorative
finishes. We have 2 colour variations for hard gold
finishes. Standard gold and a lighter jewellery
gold which resembles an 18ct colour called N18.
Our gold coatings are strictly controlled and we
can provide coatings up to 6 microns in thickness. |
 |
N18
Gold - A lighter gold which resembles an 18ct
colour. This is preffered in jewellery and is also
popular for tapware. N18 is still a 23ct
“Hard Gold” finish. |
 |
Brass Gold - This is also a 23ct gold with the
colour resembling brass. For those people who like
the look of brass, but don't want to polish it every
day, this is the finish. |
 |
Silver
- This is a popular finish in the jewellery industry
and also for electrical contacts. It does tend to
oxidise when exposed and often is lacquered to prevent
the oxidisation. |
|
Nickel - A decorative finish usually applied
as an undercoat followed by a deposit of chromium.
|
|
Chrome - A very popular finish which provides
a brilliant bluish-white appearance with excellent
hardness characteristics. |
 |
Black Chrome - An alternative to bright chrome,
this is very popular in the automotive and motor
bike markets, as well as many other applications. |
 |
New Black Sapphire - This new finish fits in
between standard chrome and black chrome. It looks
close to chrome but has a slight black luster to
it. This has been used for the Monaro Badges and
the Torana concept car and is sure to be very popular
in the future. |
|
Black Nickel - Similar to Black Chrome in appearance,
it is also used as an alternative to Black Chrome
on difficult to plate surfaces. |
|
Satin Chrome - There are two main types of satin
chrome finishes we provide.
- Brushed Satin Chrome - This has a brushed
type of appearance on the surface similar to
stainless steel.
and
- Satin Pearl - A popular finish especially
in the automotive market. It has a matt chrome
appearance and is used a lot in the current
model falcon and commodore.
|
 |
Titanium
& Stainless Steel Finishes - Titanium
is a matt nickel color with a gold tinge to it.
The Stainless color is designed to match closely
to stainless steel. It has a brushed appearance
on the surface. |
|
Electrophoretic
Lacquer - This is a special type of lacquer,
which is plated on the surface in a similar way
to metals. It is then baked in an oven to provide
a hard durable clear finish. This is used mainly
on precious metal finishes to fight against oxidisation
and enhance durability. |
|
Rhodium - Is also sometimes referred to as
"white gold", this finish is used mainly in the
jewellery industry. |
|
Yellow Bronze - used mainly as an undercoat
as an alternative to nickel. This has many applications,
particularly in the jewellery industry where nickel
can cause allergic reactions to certain people.
Also, when a topcoat of gold wears down for jewellery,
the yellow bronze undercoat is ideal because it
is similar to the gold colour and is less noticeable. |
|
Rose
Gold - Another gold finish that has copper additives
to provide a rose coloured appearance mainly used
in jewellery and should be lacquered to prevent
oxidisation. |
