Metal polishing is very similar in concept to the polishing of timber. If you want a good quality finish, you need to sand the wood with coarse belts and step down to a very fine buff finish. It is then ready to paint or lacquer – exactly the same with metals.

Brushed Satin finishes have also become very popular in recent years and they are done with a couse wheel that brushes the surface in a circular or straight direction. This is generally done over the nickel layer.
